The ATO has recently introduced changes affecting The ATO has recently introduced changes affecting holiday homes and short-stay rental deductions, and they’re taking a far closer look at claims this year. Here’s what you need to know:✔ You can only claim deductions for periods your property is genuinely available for rent (not blocked out for personal use). ✔ Market-rate advertising and wide availability must be demonstrated - otherwise deductions may be denied. ✔ Records matter more than ever!
