Superannuation Updates Are Coming!The Australian Superannuation Updates Are Coming!The Australian Government has announced proposed changes to superannuation payments, set to commence from 1 July 2026. ​We’ve put together some key points that you need to know:βœ… Introduction of "Payday Super" | Employers will be required to pay employees' superannuation contributions concurrently with salary and wages.βœ… Transition Away from SBSCH | The Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) will be decommissioned from 1 July 2026. Employers will need to transition to alternative commercial solutions for superannuation payments.βœ…  Enhanced ATO Oversight | The ATO will have increased authority to issue Superannuation Guarantee (SG) assessments proactively if contributions are not received within the stipulated timeframe.βœ…  Revised Penalties | Employers failing to meet SG obligations may face updated penalties. If super remains unpaid after 28 days, a 25% penalty will apply.
